Dealing with the end of a relationship can be traumatic. I try to assist individuals to resolve the issues arising from their separation in as respectful, rational and cost-efficient way as possible. I believe that litigation should be the last resort in family law matters because of the financial and emotional costs involved in litigation. The collaborative family process is a valuable and effective way to help families resolve issues in a way that allows them to move forward in a positive manner.
I have been practicing law since 1984, with an emphasis in the area of family law. As well as being in private practice, I have taught the Professional Legal Training Course in Victoria and continue to do some of the assessments for this program. I was appointed by Cabinet to be Chair of an agricultural Supervisory Board and acted in this capacity between 1990 and 1994.
