I enjoy helping people feel better about their lives and this includes couples that are separating and divorcing. The separating and divorce process can be thought of having 2 stages – separation and divorce and continued contact. It is especially important to be able to move forward gracefully when there are children involved or if there is a shared business enterprise.
Often new skills need to be learned in order to create a post-divorce family. Skills such as:
• listening to each other without reacting,
• cooperating,
• being flexible yet maintaining what you want and need, and
• being able to put your conflict aside and stay focused on the needs of the children.
